The documents submitted by political parties to the Election Commission of India stated that YSRCP is the highest spending party for the financial year 2018-19.
CLI (M) is the second-largest party with Rs 76.150 crore, while YSRCP spent Rs 87.684 crore. Electoral bonds are a popular channel for funding, not only regional parties but also national parties.
The TRS party said it received about Rs 188 crore as income for the financial year 2018-19. Interestingly, the party had a revenue of Rs 27.27 crore, which saw an increase of 85.54 percent.
In AP YSRCP, the ruling party announced that the party had an income of Rs 181 crore in the financial year 2018-19, which increased from Rs 14.23 in 2017-18. Within a year, the party’s revenue grew by 92.13 percent.
Apart from both parties, there are other parties like AIDMK, DMDK, JD (S), and PMK, which have high-income levels. The parties declared their income of Rs 28.10 crore, Rs 48.43 lakh, Rs 42.89 crore, Rs 6.27 crore for the financial year 2018-19, respectively.
