Following the death of Bollywood entertainer Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, the NCB had begun examining alleged utilization of drugs by the film and media businesses. Many celebs were captured and their residences had been seized too. Now in a new twist, another actor who has his credits primarily in Tollywood was also found to be involved in the drug racket.
Big boss 7 fame actor Ajaz Khan is well known in Tollywood as he has acted in big budget Telugu films – Mahesh Babu starrer Dookudu, Naayak, Temper and Rogue. Presently Ajaz Khan was held by Narcotics Control Bureau-NCB at Mumbai air terminal in a drug case.
The credible sources reveal that the actor flew back to Mumbai from Rajasthan after which the Narcotics Control Bureau detained him at the Mumbai airport. The reports are surfacing that NCB team is also conducting raids at several locations in Andheri and Lokhandwala of Ajaz Khan and also at his close friends circle. The agency stated that it had found alprazolam tablets from his residence during those raids.
Ajaz Khan is part of narcotics peddler Shadab Farooque Shaikh alias Shadab Batata’s syndicate, the NCB asserted. However, the actor denied any drug usage and claimed that it was just the sleeping pills that are being taken by his wife to the media.
