Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar has been hospitalised due to pain in his abdomen Sunday evening. He was feeling a little uneasy, following which, he was rushed to South Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital.
As per reports, the NCP leader’s medical revealed a gall bladder problem for which the veteran lawmaker is possible to undergo surgery.
Issuing a statement NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik tweeted, “Sharad Pawar was feeling a little uneasy due to a pain in his abdomen last evening and was therefore taken to Breach Candy Hospital for a check-up. Upon diagnosis, it came to light that he has a problem in his gallbladder.”
“He is on blood-thinning medication, which is now being stopped due to this issue. He will be admitted to the hospital on the 31st of March 2021 and endoscopy and surgery will be conducted,” the NCP spokesperson said.
The 80-year-old Sharad Pawar was scheduled to campaign for chief minister Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal. However, all of his programs were cancelled till further notice.
