Apart from that, the ongoing attacks on Dalits may also embarrass the YCP. The Tirupati Parliament will have 15 lakh votes including Chittoor and Nellore districts. There is a perception among the people that even if the YCP is in power, welfare programs may not have an impact.

The notion that we are being charged for the implementation of welfare programs is strong among middle-class people. It is learned that women are very angry over the YCP policy on alcohol. Many people feel that they are robbing us in the name of banning alcohol. The Tirupati Parliament has a large number of day laborers. Most of them go to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka for their livelihood. Alcohol prices came as a huge shock to them. All of these are also expected to trouble YSRCP big time.
