The AP govt is not interested in the Amaravati railway line: Union govt!!

The Union government is flouting the guarantees of the AP Separation Act. The Union government has made it clear that the AP government is not interested in the Amaravati railway line. With this, the people of AP, who had been hoping for years for the Amaravati Railway project, were left disappointed.

The Union government also clarified that AP was not ready to share the cost of the Amaravati Railway. On the other hand, the Union government has decided that the railway coach factory is unnecessary in Telangana as well.

With these statements, the Union government has flouted the assurances given during the bifurcation. Protests are already going on in the AP over the news that the Union government is in favor of privatizing the Visakhapatnam steel plant. At this moment, AP residents are also angry at the Union government for backtracking on the Amaravati railway line.
