Telangana HC gave a sensational verdict on Hafeezpet lands !!

The Telangana High Court has given a sensational verdict on the lands in Survey No. 80, which has become controversial in Hafeezpet, Hyderabad.

The Waqf Board, as well as the state government, said that the 140 acres of land worth thousands of crores were government assets. The verdict of the High court said that all the lands belonged to private individuals and companies.

Former badminton player Praveen Rao and others went to the high court claiming that the lands in Survey No. 80 were theirs. After a lengthy investigation, it was stated that the lands do not belong to the government or to the Waqf Board.

Out of those 140 acres, the High Court directed that 50 acres should be registered in the name of Praveen Rao and the respective owners. The High Court also directed the Waqf Board and the government to pay Rs 4 lakh to the petitioners. Meanwhile, the state government hopes to challenge the latest verdict in the Supreme Court.
