Acclaimed Telugu director Teja celebrated his birthday yesterday and on the occasion, he announced a new project, Chitram 1.1, which will be the sequel to Chitram.
Chitram 1.1 will be featuring around 45 newcomers in important roles and the same was announced by the makers yesterday.
The latest we hear is that Teja is set to introduce his son Amithav Teja with Chitram 1.1.
The film will mark the acting debut of Amithav, who apparently studied at a film school in New York. Teja feels that Chitram 1.1 would be the right launch pad for his son. The youngster will be playing the male lead in the film.
Teja is also in search of new actors for the sequel and he will be calling for auditions very soon.
Chitram which released back in 2000 was a big hit at the box office and 21 years later, Teja is directing and also producing the sequel to the Uday Kiran and Reema Sen starrer.
