Every political party has its own group of media supporters, and naturally, those who oppose them as well. It is very common for certain media groups to go against a political party, due to their political affiliations. This is the same case with certain media channels, which regularly run anti-TDP news and articles, trying to defame the party.
The TDP has now announced that it would not be engaging with these channels anymore and that it has decided to block these channels from their behalf. These channels include TV 9, Prime 9, Sakshi TV and digital channel I Dream, which regularly show the TDP in a bad light. These channels have had this coming for a long time now, with the TDP regularly monitoring their stories, but not having taken any significant action till now.
On the other hand, the TDP hasn’t blocked those media outlets that post both sides of the coin, but a few more channels are said to be in the TDP’s list, which are expected to be blocked soon. Sources say that the TDP has decided to take stringent action against biased media, as they are of the opinion that media outlets are lacking objectivity these days.
