The Tamil film industry has lost one more talented actor to COVID-19. Notable supporting actor Maran, who had acted in films like Vijay’s Ghilli and Kuruvi, died of Coronavirus this morning.
Maran was admitted to the Government hospital in Chengalpet after testing positive for the virus a few days back. However, the 48-year-old actor didn’t respond well to the treatment and succumbed to the disease on May 12. Maran’s death comes as an immense shock to everyone in Kollywood.
Maran had also played Adivasi role in Yash-starrer KGF. He has acted in several other popular films in Tamil.
Not only Maran, but the deadly virus has also taken the lives of many actors like Veteran actor Joker Thulasi, comedian Pandu, director KV Anand recently.
Meanwhile, on May 11, Tamil Nadu reported 29,272 new Covid-19 cases out of which 7,466 are from Chennai.
