A tragedic incident took place at a government hospital in Goa. Within four hours, 26 Covid patients died. Delay in the oxygen supply appears to be the major cause of these deaths. Goa Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has asked the High Court to conduct an investigation into the incident. Rane said that 26 corona victims died at the Goa Medical College Hospital (GMCH) between 2 and 6 in the morning on Tuesday.
Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant visited GMCH after learning about the death of Covid patients. He said the delay in supplying oxygen to the corona wards could be the cause of the incident. However, he clarified that there was no shortage of oxygen cylinders in the state.
