RTC employees in Andhra Pradesh has been asking for government employee status from the past few years. Finally, RTC employees dream is coming true from 1st of January, 2020. A bill on the same was passed in AP Assembly and things are all set for the occasion.
The retirement age of the RTC employees has been raised from 58 to 60 years, which is an additional bonus. 52000 RTC employees will become government employees and the YSRC government will be spending 3200 Crores additionally on RTC.
On one side, RTC employees in AP were in celebration mode and were getting ready excitingly for the New Year while the RTC employees in Telangana had a tough year fighting with the government to make their dreams come true.
