Siddharth booked by Hyderabad cybercrime police

It is known that South star Siddharth has landed in an unwanted controversy for allegedly making derogatory comments against Olympic bronze medalist Saina Nehwal on Twitter. Netizens ridiculed the actor for his comment against the Indian shuttler, and he even issued an apology for the same.

The Hyderabad police cybercrime wing has now registered a complaint against Siddharth over his controversial tweets. The officials have booked under IPC Section 509 and other relevant sections of the Information Technology Act after a woman named Prerna approached complained. “Notice will be served to Siddharth, the additional DCP Cyber Crime Wing, Detective Department said.

A few days ago, Saina Nehwal took to Twitter to respond about the lapse in PM Narendra Modi’s security. In response to the shuttlers tweet, the actor made some sexist remarks, which didn’t go well with various activists as well as the National Commission for Women.
