Shikaaru starring Sai Dhansika in a key role under the direction of Hari Kolagani has hit the screens today. Let’s check how it is.
Story:
Set in Kakinada backdrop, the film revolves around four college friends. One among them named Bobby meets a married woman Devika( Sai Dhansika ) accidentally at college premise. Eventually, they both get close and decides to meet at Devika’s house. When Bobby reaches Devika’s house, as an unexpected twist in the tale, Devika’s husband who is a cop comes from night work. What will Devika do now? Where will she hide Bobby? How will the three friends do to save Bobby? To know that, you have to watch the film on the silver screen.
On-screen performances:
Sai Dhansika gave a decent performance as lady who fears for her husband. Her panic acting in the second half elevates a few key scenes.
The four guys who played lead roles gave a decent performance. Other artists such as Posani Krishna Murali, Jabardasth fame Chamak Chandra generate decent situational fun.
Actor Kishore impresses with his acting in the given key role. Other artists are okay in their respective roles.
Off-screen Talents:
Vasili Shyam Prasad’s cinematography work is okay. He used right framing to shoot the night mode shots. Music by Sekhar Chandra is adequate. His mark work is missing in the movie.
Editing work by Venkateshwara Rao S is okay as he kept the film’s runtime within limits. Writer Vishwa Karun lacks an impact.
Coming to the direction part, Hari Kolagani did just okay job as a director. His execution part lacks engaging moments. The film has scope for good crime comedy episodes but sadly the director failed to utilise the opportunity.
Positive Points:
Negative Points:
Verdict:
In an overview, Shikaaru is a drama has has neither fun nor crime thrilling elements. Though Sai Dhansika try to impress with her acting, the dull and flat proceedings divert the audience mood.
