It is known that director Shankar has resumed the shooting of Kamal Haasan’s long-pending Indian 2 in August. The movie started rolling again after a gap of two years with the lead cast joining the shoot.
The director has now revealed a key update regarding the shooting of Indian 2. Shankar, who graced the Ponniyin Selvan -1 audio and trailer launch event in Chennai yesterday, said that they have completed a new schedule recently and they will begin a fresh schedule in the third week of September.
Shankar revealed that Kamal Haasan, and the remaining main cast, will join the shoot in this forthcoming schedule. Indian 2 is the sequel to the movie of the same name, which was released in 1996.
Udhayanidhi’s Red Giant has collaborated with Lyca Productions to bankroll the film. The movie also stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Bobby Simha, among others in significant roles.
