As India is still grappling with covid-19, vaccine availability has become a major concern. Sputnik V soon emerged as the first foreign-made vaccine (from Russia) to be available in India as part of the world’s largest COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
Jabs with Sputnik V in Hyderabad began Friday succeeding the arrival of the first batch of the vaccine in India on May 1, 2021.
Today, the second batch of the Sputnik V reached Hyderabad, Telangana. In this regard, Russian Ambassador to India, Nikolay Kudashev termed the Russian-Indian fight against COVID-19, as an archetype of the privileged collaboration and an effective model of international anti-pandemic cooperation.
“We are very happy to see that the Russian-Indian joint fight against the COVID-19, which is one of the vital areas of our bilateral cooperation nowadays, has firmly stood on rails and moving forward,” the Russian envoy sated.
Ambassador Kudashev said that life-saving aid put forth by Russia last month is being victoriously utilised to assist Indians to surmount the strife of the infection. He labelled the second batch of Sputnik V vaccine “very timely” and indeed effective model with no obstacles post it’s launch in the Indian vaccine campaign.
