SEC does not have the power to investigate MPTC and ZPTC consensus: AP HC

The Andhra Pradesh High Court has given a key verdict regarding the MPTC, and ZPTC consensus.

The HC has dismissed the SEC orders on the issue of consensus in MPTC and ZPTC polls. The High Court ruled that the SEC does not have the power to investigate consensus.

The High Court has dismissed the orders issued by the state election commission to hold an inquiry into the MPTC and ZPTC consensus.

The SEC had earlier ordered an inquiry into the large-scale allegations in the MPTC and ZPTC consensus. Many have approached the High Court challenging the SEC orders.

The High Court has already issued interim orders on this. The final decision was announced today.
