On November 18th, the Sarada Peetham’s current head, Swarupanandendra Saraswati will be celebrating his birthday. To celebrate this occasion, the Visakhapatnam Sarada peetham trust board had written a letter to the Devadaya Sakha, and requested that special poojas be celebrated in all major temples across Andhra Pradesh.
Additional Commissioner Devadaya Sakha, K. Ramachandra Mohan had subsequently issued orders to the EOs of Arasavelli Sun Temple, Dwarka Thirumala, Ramatirtha, Simhachalam, Kanakamahalakshmi Temple, Annavaram, Antarvedi and Mavullamma Temple, asking the EOs to make sure that special poojas are done according to the letter that the Visakhapatnam Sarada Peetham had submitted.
Opposing to these orders, and to the letter by the Visakhapatnam Sarada Peetham, one Lalith Kumar filed a petition in the High Court. Following this petition, the Visakhapatnam Sarada Peetham has now withdrawn its request for special poojas on November 18th, and informed the High Court of the same.
