With the dismissal of around 48000 RTC employees, KCR and his government turned to be the center of attraction in the state and the national media. It appears like this is the first time to see such a huge mass layoff in an organization. RTC is currently running with only 1200 employees.
KCR shot back at the response from the media and the RTC employees saying that the employees are self dismissing themselves by continuing the strike and the fault is not from his side. KCR mentioned that as per law, the employees are automatically dismissed. This dismissal is now a debate discussion in few colleges in Telangana where students and professors are expressing their opinions.
Professor Nageshwar of Osmania University who is also a top political analyst, gave an interview to a leading TV Channel saying that KCR should keep up his promise made to RTC till May of 2014. Nageshwar finalized that RTC doesn’t need anything more than the promises made to them by TRS party. Looks like KCR may face tough time in the next elections if this problem is not resolved soon.
