The second wave of Covid pandemic is causing some serious disruptions in the Telugu film industry. Multiple biggies have already altered release dates and now, film shootings are being halted in the wake of surge in Covid cases.
Incidentally, the makers of RRR have cancelled the ongoing schedule on an immediate basis.
The surge in the number of Covid cases is said to be the reason behind this sudden decision to call off shoot.
RRR is a magnanimous project and hundreds of technicians and artists are associated with the project. Shooting with such a huge crowd day in day out is simply not feasible, given the current situation pertaining to Covid outbreak in the country.
So, the makers have decided to cancel shoot immediately as they have prioritised the safety of the cast and crew above all.
There is a small portion of RRR left to be shot and it will be wrapped up in roughly 25 days whenever the shoot resumes.
