The results of the third phase of the panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh are being released. Elections were held in 13 districts of the state. Elections were held for 2639 sarpanches and 19,553 wards in Andhra Pradesh. The highest polling percentage was recorded in the Vijayanagarm district with 84 percent. The lowest polling percentage was recorded in the Visakhapatnam district at 65 percent.
In, East Godavari district 70 percent, West Godavari district 72 percent, Krishna 79 percent, Guntur 81 percent, Prakasam 79 percent, Nellore 79 percent, Chittoor 77 percent, Kadapa 68 percent, and Anantapur district 78 percent polling was registered. Election officials started counting the votes after polling ended. So far, TDP has won a majority of seats rather than YCP, Janasena others.
