Polling for the third phase of panchayat elections in Andhra Pradesh was going on smoothly. All the voters in the state are exercising their right to vote by reaching the polling booths since morning. Election officials announced that as of 8:30 a.m, 11.90 percent polling was recorded in the state.
District-wise, 12.87 percent polling in Srikakulam, 15.30 percent polling in Vijayanagar, 13.75 percent polling in Visakhapatnam, 14.63 percent polling in East Godavari, 11.72 percent polling in West Godavari, 8.14 percent polling in Krishna, 18.83 percent polling in Guntur, 8.04 percent polling in Prakasam, 9.10 percent polling in Nellore, 9.34 percent polling in Chittoor and 7.57 percent polling in Kadapa were registered. After 50 years in the old Muchumarri and New Muchumarri villages in Kurnool district, the villagers went to the polling booths and cast their votes.
