Regardless of slot booking, eligible people can get second dose of vaccine

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to give the second dose of the Covid vaccine to those over 45 years of age. People who have taken Covishield will get their second dose only after 6 weeks and those who have taken Covaxin will have their second dose after 4 weeks. In view of the severity of the situation and the availability of vaccines, the government has decided to give the second dose of vaccine to those over 45 years of age, said the health officials.

“All slot bookings for the first and second doses have been canceled. Anyone eligible to receive a second dose of vaccine can go directly to the nearest government vaccine center regardless of slot booking from Saturday,” said the health ministry.
