SS Rajamouli‘s much-awaited magnum opus RRR may not be released this year, considering the spike in coronavirus cases. While there is no official word on the release date yet, many reports suggest that the director is aiming to release it for Summer 2021.
However, the lead actor Ram Charan and Jr NTR feel that releasing RRR in summer is too late and they think that Sankranti 2022 would be perfect for a biggie like RRR.
We know big stars like Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu have already lined their films for Sankranti 2022. If Rajamouli agrees to Charan and NTR’s request, then his film might collide with the others hero and it would bring him big problems from other filmmakers. It remains to be seen what call would the RRR team take given the current pandemic situation.
The shooting of RRR is currently halted due to the second wave of Covid. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.
