“Raja Vikramarka has action and situational comedy”: Sri Saripalli

Kartikeya’s upcoming film Raja Vikramarka is all set to hit the screens on November 12. Directed by Sri Saripalli, the movie is produced by 88 Ramareddy, and presented by T. Adi Reddy under Sree Chitra Movie Makers. Ahead of the release, the director, who is making his debut with this film, has shared interesting things about Raja Vikramarka.

Speaking about the story of Raja Vikramarka, Sri Saripalli said Kartikeya appears to be a young man who has just joined the NIA. How did he suffer from a lack of discipline? After killing a Weapon Dealer with half the information, how he digs out the rest of the information is the movie. The film is packed with entertainment and action. He said the film was inspired by ‘Mission Impossible’.

Explaining the comedy angle in Raja Vikramarka, the director said that he made sure to have a humour factor. There will be a situational comedy. Characters do not make jokes. The audience laughs when they see those situations.

When he was asked about casting Karthikeya, the director said, “We saw Karthikeya in ‘RX 100’ time. I thought he would fit in the role. I told the story. He loved it. Although it took two years to make the film, the shooting took only 70 days.”

“Tanya Ravichandran appears to be the daughter of the Home Minister. She is a classical dancer too. Tanikella Bharani, Sai Kumar, Sudhakar Komakula, everyone’s character is important,” the director said.

“No matter what genre the movie is, I will make sure that there is entertainment in it. Wrote my next script in the lockdown period,” he added.
