Raising asymptomatic cases: India to change its strategy?

Covid-19 cases are slowly raising in India and the rate of raise is not in the concerning level compared to the rest of the world. But, the most concerning fact in India is the raise of asymptomatic cases. If Covid-19 patient shows the symptoms, its easy to identify and isolate but when a patient is not showing any symptoms, the chance of spread will be higher by the time the patient is finally identified and isolated.

This might be an alarming situation as there is a chance of high spike of cases at any point. As of now, Indian Government will be conducting the test on people who have significant symptoms. But this type of screening may not identify the asymptomatic patients. “Will India change its screening strategy?”

Looks like ICMR is trying to implement changes in the way Government conducts the screening. Constant door to door surveys and more attention to the older people are now a part of the strategy.
