PIL filed against pilot Dlait Bandhu scheme

A Public Interest Litigation was filed against the Telangana government, in the Telangana High Court, by  Janavahini, Jaiswaraj and Telangana Republic parties. They filed the PIL against the government’s decision of introducing the Dalit Bandhu scheme as a pilot scheme in the Huzurabad constituency.
They said that this cannot happen as Etela Rajender resigned from his post and because by-polls are to take place for the constituency. The government said that the scheme would be introduced as a pilot one ahead of the by-elections. The petitioners said that it is not right to do this as bait for the upcoming Huzurbad by-polls.
The petitioners made the EC and Telangana government respondents along with the Congress, TRS and BJP. The Telangana government intends to implement the Dalit Bandhu scheme in the next half of the Farmer Bandhu scheme.
