The water-sharing policies adopted by both Telugu states are creating more tension from day to day. Previously both Jagan and KCR have decided to stay on one word about the Godavari water-sharing projects by not letting the thousands of TMCs to mix in the sea uselessly. Both governments vowed to a pact that the projects that will be built in both states by co-ordinated with each other without any worries.
Then all of a sudden there happened to be a rift between these two and of course they proved to be the normal politicians that these people have been witnessing for decades. When the AP government issues the G.O 203 for the extension of the PothiReddypadu project, the flare went up.
The opposition in Telangana criticized KCR for being silent in this issue and to protect his political mileage, KCR also opposed this act from Jagan’s government being left with no other choice.
So, KCR wants to challenge Jagan in this newly-formed-rival administration by building a new reservoir at the Jurala project so that thousands of TMCs of Krishna River will get transferred to Telangana. He also wants to obstruct the PothiReddypadu project by increasing the height of their reservoir at the Dummugudem.
So, to get the most from the Krishna River, the Jurala Project will get extended, and to transfer the Godavari water to drought areas like Mahaboob Nagar district, the height of their reservoir will be increased at Khammam District’s Dummugudem.
KCR took these decisions without having any funds in his treasury and we all know why he would take these decisions even in this crisis period. So, what will be the Jagan’s reply to KCR?
