The entire country has only one problem. It is nothing but Corona Virus and its side effects. But, if you are an Andhrite, COVID-19 could be the least worrying thing in your state. Yes, Andhra Pradesh is dealing with many issues other than COVID-19 at the moment.
Dr. Sudhakars suspension, LG Polymers, selling the government lands and confrontation with the high court. As these all are not enough, out of blue, the government is planning to sell the TTD properties. Of course, the lands that are in fray are of no use for the TTD by any means but they were donated to the trust by the devotees in the name of Lord Venkateswara.
Now, the opposition is arguing that selling those lands means hurting the sentiments of the devotees in a grand fashion and even questioned how could the YSRCP government allow the TTD to conduct the auction when they the opposed the same process when they were in opposition. The point is definitely debatable and argumentative too.
But, the main point in the situation is a whole different one. The value of those 50 assets that the TTD is wanting to put for sale is just a few crores and exactly it is less than the amount that the ‘Tirupathi Hundi’ receives a day from the devotees.
“So, what is the dire need for the government or TTD to auction those assets? Don’t you people have the capacity or need to maintain the lands that were offered by the devotees for their beloved lord to whom you all pledged your lives?” These are the exact questions being hurled at the people who are willing to sell the lands by some Hindu people.
