While 16 Indian states have postponed or cancelled their 10th and 12th final exams, the government of Andhra Pradesh seems adamant about conducting them at any cost. Despite the rapid spreading of Coronavirus across the country and across AP, Jagan’s government is, for some reason, stubborn about conducting exams.
A lot of students and others have appealed to the government, but it is relentless. Even Jana Sena and Telugu Desam Party have expressed their objection to the government wanting to go ahead with the board exams in May.
Now, Andhra Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party President, Somu Veerraju has come forward, objecting the government’s decision to conduct exams. He said that the government has to ensure the safety of all children and hence has to postpone or cancel the exams altogether.
On the other hand, the Jagan government is concentrating on complete vaccination in the state. It is rapidly trying to vaccinate those above the age of 45 years. The first dose has already reached the maximum number of people, and the second dose is now being given.
From next month onwards, vaccines will be given to all adults, and the government seems intent on making sure that there’s 100% vaccination in the state. However, this doesn’t mean that it can go on with its decisions which are a threat to everyone.
