With Ghajini being a massive hit in Telugu, Tamil star hero Suriya, has garnered a good craze in Tollywood too. Most of his movies like 7th sense, Brothers, etc. have received good openings. But shockingly, the craze for him, has gradually come down in Telugu states now.
While NGK is up for the release tomorrow, there is zero buzz for the film in both the Telugu states. Though the movie has popular actresses like Rakul Preeth Singh and Sai Pallavi, it still couldn’t help the movie in any manner.
The reason behind the situation is, the Telugu audience encouraged Tamil films only when they are content-rich. Ghajini, Aparichithudu, Rangam etc. were not based on the routine commercial formula but are rich in content.
But Suriya’s NGK is an out and out commercial action entertainer as the trailer hinted it to be. There are several star heroes in Telugu, who came up with the films of that sort in the recent times and had to step back. If this is the case with Telugu heroes, there is no point in the Telugu audience, encouraging Tamil heroes, who come up with such routine action stuff.
So it would be better, if the Kollywood makers dub their films in Telugu, only when the films are rich in content, unlike the routine commercial stuff.
