The decision to postpone the local body elections by the election commission of the State seems to be very expensive for Jagan Mohan Reddy. Not only will this change the dynamics of the election status but also is affecting the Capital shift process from Amaravati to Visakhapatnam. But how are these both related in the first place?
During the tenure of Election Code, the shifting process cannot be done. Looking at the postponement of the elections to next 6 weeks, it will be conducted in May month. And if the shift does not happen by the beginning of the next academic year, there are high chances of not shifting the capital until 2021.
Also, the Select Committee not favouring the shift and other challenges are not yet resolved in the High Court. Therefore, all the Amaravati farmers are extremely happy with the outcome and have said that their prayers have been heard.
