Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been making sure that he has no political rivals in the state, ever since he became the CM of AP in 2019. He has been taking down every major political party and his feud with TDP chief and former CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu has been the most severe. It has been severe to the extent that Naidu swore not to step back into the assembly until he’s CM again.
For the 75th Independence Day celebrations in Delhi this year, Jagan even refused to be seen on the same stage with Chandrababu. Now, the two are attending an event at the same time, for the first time in a really long time. The event is the meeting conducted by the Central government where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside. The meeting is convened to discuss the agenda for the G20 nation’s meeting scheduled to be held at the end of 2023, with PM Modi having become its president this year. He took over as the president of the G20 nations in the first week of December 2022.
It is to be noted that Chandrababu has been trying to get back into the good books of the BJP after breaking its alliance with the party ahead of the 2019 elections. On the other hand, Jagan has been trying his best to keep his alliance with the BJP alive and well.
