Miss India 2020 Manasa Varanasi, who left India to represent the country at the Miss World 2021 pageant, has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Along with Manasa, 17 people, including other contestants at Miss World 2021, have also contracted Covid-19.
Given this, Miss World 2021 finale has been temporarily postponed. “Miss World 2021 temporarily postpones global broadcast finale in Puerto Rico due to health and safety interest of contestants, staff, crew and the general public,” the Miss World Organisation said.
The finale was scheduled to take place on December 16 in Puerto Rico. It will be rescheduled at Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum of Puerto Rico within the next 90 days.
Manasa Varanasi, 23, from Hyderabad, Telangana, won Miss India 2020 pageant in February this year.
