The Tamil Nadu government has given a major breather to all the students belonging to 9,10,11 grades. Chief Minister Palaniswami said that there would be no final exams for these students and that they would be promoted to the next class, without any test. All these students will now be passed automatically, which has reportedly brought about a major relief.
On the other hand, with the general elections soon approaching, the Chief Minister also announced yet another news, making another section of people extremely happy.
Palaniswami announced that every government employee’s service would last until they are 60 years old now and that they would retire after completing 60.
Previously, the retirement age was between 58 and 59. This is applicable to all government employees and other local bodies’ employees, whose retirement is scheduled for May 31st, 2021.
