When it was announced that ex-Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and Telugu Desam Party chief Chandrababu Naidu would be touring Kuppam and the surrounding mandals for three days, a lot of threats were made by several YSRCP members.
They said that they would not keep quiet if he stepped in Kuppam, and with these threats being heavily publicised in YSRCP favourable media, a lot of tension was caused in several political circles, with many wondering about what could happen when Naidu went to Kuppam.
On Thursday, Naidu went to Kuppam by road, after landing at Bangalore, on a flight. Over 2,000 people went to welcome Naidu at the border of Karnataka and Kuppam.
As soon as he reached Kuppam, Naidu paid a visit to the local goddess and offered his prayers to her.
Post that, Naidu gave strong warnings to the members of the YSRCP, and said that the YSRCP members have won by threatening the people of Kuppam.
He said that he would remember everything that is happening now, and would give right back to the YSRCP, with more than double the impact. Naidu said that the YSRCP government has only one and a half years left to do what they want and that things will change drastically after that.
Naidu noted that the Jamili elections would make it crystal clear of what is running on the people’s minds, and everything would be sorted after that. Naidu will be visiting all the mandals surrounding Kuppam for the next 2 days.
