After the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic last year, India is witnessing heart-wrenching incidents with hundreds of people dying each passing day due to the virus.
Tragically, dead bodies in Madhya Pradesh are bunching up at crematoriums and burial grounds, showing an absolute rise in Covid cases. However, there is a strange gap between the official daily death count and the ground reality.
People at the Bhadbhada crematorium in Bhopal say they have not seen such scenes since the 1984 Bhopal Gas tragedy.
As per reports, they saw ambulances lining up with dead bodies as many waited on the roads for their time to perform funerals. A person said that they had waited for three-four hours to cremate his brother-in-law as there is no space.
On the other hand, the government dismissed under-reporting the death count. However, the crematorium workers are fighting with the daily pressure.
