Prestigious Lyca Productions has bagged the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Rajamouli‘s magnum opus ‘RRR’. The production house of the pan-India film has announced on Wednesday that Lyca Productions has acquired the Tamil theatrical rights of the film.
Taking to Twitter, Lyca Productions wrote, “We are delighted and proud to announce The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of THE BIGGEST PAN INDIA FILM #RRRMovie is acquired by us.”
If the reports are believed, the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of RRR were sold for Rs 42 crore. Notably, Lyca is known for producing and distributing big Tamil films like Darbar, Vada Chennai, 2.0 and so on.
The film is being produced by DVV Danayya. RRR is set in pre-independence era, in which Ram Charan and Jr NTR are playing the roles of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem respectively. The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, and Olivia Morris in key roles.
