Lockdown Extended! Online food delivery suspended! What is KCR trying to say?

Yet again KCR conducted a Press meet as the COVID-19 cases continue to mount in Telangana. Just before few hours of his press meet, there had been speculation that KCR is going to announce another lockdown extension and from this, we can observe how predictable KCR’s press meets have become these days.

Though the suspension of the online food delivery services like Zomato and Swiggy came as surprise, everything that the KCR has done so far suggests his desperation. It is yet to be known if there are any requests from tenants to Government for relaxations from their rents but KCR is clearly trying to avoid the uproar that might arise with this another extension.

Even the locked down was extended only for another four days, it seems like KCR is preparing the people for the future. In this way, he suspended the Online food delivery services as one of the pizza delivery boys was tested COVID-19 positive and he wants to demonstrate the Telanganites that he will go to any extent to stop the spread of the Virus.

Announcement of bonuses to police personnel and ordering the private schools not to increase tution fee for the ongoing and upcoming academic years is just to pacify the people by showing these things as the relaxations. Despite a measly income in the form of taxes and dismal economic data, KCR’s regime managed to announce several reliefs to the people of Telangana.

KCR even said that all the white cardholders will receive Rs 1500 in their bank accounts and and 12 Kg of rice will be given to each member of the family and to keep the farmers confident, CM assured that the government will buy every food grain from farmers. All these things suggest us that this lockdown won’t get lifted in the near future and KCR, out of desperation, preparing his people for something big.
