Police have arrested Dr. Bangi Lal Bahadur Shastri, MD of KS Care Hospital, Kurnool, on charges of running the hospital without permission, negligence in treating corona patients, and causing their deaths. The deaths of corona patients in the KS Care hospital have become a hot topic in the state.
District Flying Squad officers, DMHO officers, Dr. Nagaprasad Babu, and others inspected the hospital. They found that the Corona patients were being treated in the hospital without permission. Also, they found that the hospital staff have been negligent in providing treatment to corona patients and thus caused their death. It was found that high fees were being charged from corona patients in the hospital. Police said that the another accused, hospital Director Narsimha, was absconding.
