Director Krishna Vamsi’s upcoming film ‘Rangamarthanda’ has been in production for more than a year now. Said to be the official remake of Marathi classic Natsamrat, the film has Prakash Raj in the lead role. He will be reprising the role of Nana Patekar from the original.
Initially, there are speculations that the film was stalled due to financial issues. However, the makers rubbished the rumours and said the film is very much on.
Now, the latest update we hear is that Rangamarthanda will be released in December. Interestingly, it is heard that the makers are opting for an OTT release, skipping the theatrical release. However, there is no official confirmation on the mode of release yet. The film is backed by Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu.
The film also features an ensemble cast of Ramaya Krishnan, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Brahmanandam, Vamsee Chaganti, Shivathmika Rajashekar, among others.
