The Central Bureau of Investigation made a key arrest in the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy. G Uday Kumar Reddy of Pulivendula in the Kadapa district was arrested by the special investigation team of the CBI. He is a close confidante of YS Avinash Reddy, nephew of the deceased, who was questioned several times by the CBI in the case.
The Supreme Court recently advised the CBI to complete the investigation by April 30th. Uday had allegedly been to Viveka’s place on the day Viveka was murdered, along with Avinash Reddy and Shiva Shankar.
YS Viveka, the brother of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhar Reddy and the uncle of AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, was murdered at his residence in Pulivendula on the night of March 15, in 2019. His murder case has been under investigation ever since then, with several developments taking place.
