Karnataka CM Bommai tests positive for Covid

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is the latest politician in India to get contracted with the novel Coronavirus. On Saturday, the BJP leader announced he has tested positive for Coronavirus with mild symptoms and that his trip to the national capital New Delhi stands cancelled.

Taking to Twitter, the CM wrote, “I have tested positive for Covid-19 with mild symptoms and have isolated myself at home. Those who came in touch with me in the last few days, kindly isolate yourself and get yourself tested. My trip to Delhi stands cancelled.”

Bommai said he has isolated himself at home. As per reports, the CM met many people and officials as he held a series of meetings and events over the past few days.

Basavaraj Bommai was scheduled to visit New Delhi today to participate in the third meeting of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and NITI Aayog’s Governing Council meeting.
