It is known that Universal Hero Kamal Haasan has been successfully hosting the Bigg Boss Tamil over the years. He is currently part of Bigg Boss Tamil Ultimate, which is the show’s OTT version.
However, in a surprising move, Kamal Haasan has opted out of the show midway owing to a clash with his ongoing film Vikram. Citing date issues, the legendary actor has excused himself from presenting the remaining episodes of the popular reality show.
In a statement, Kamal said that the pandemic and lockdown restrictions imposed by the government have created confusion and have restrained them from rescheduling the production of his forthcoming film ‘Vikram’.
“We had so far meticulously planned to ensure that the production schedule of ‘Vikram’ does not affect my commitments to Bigg Boss, a show that is very close to my heart. So much so, I did not let any personal discomfort I might have had after I was personally down with Covid,” he said.
The veteran actor said that it would be unfair to make eminent stars and technicians wait for him as some more days of Vikram’s shoot are left behind. “It has become practically impossible to manage both ‘Vikram ‘ and ‘Bigg Boss’ together. Consequently, I am now constrained to opt out of this season of Bigg Boss Ultimate after February 20,” he added.
