Re-tendering of Polavaram project, cancellation of Power Purchase Agreements and there are several other issues, where the AP government went against the Centre, even after the repeated warnings of the latter.
While the moves of this sort are expected to trouble the state government from the Central government, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is making sure that he also maintains cordial relations with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Recently, Jagan reviewed the status of various welfare programs being implemented by the government. During the review meeting, he said that Modi will be invited to AP, to launch the YSR Rythu Bharosa program on October 15.
On the other side, Telangana Chief Minister KCR earlier advised Jagan, not to reach Centre for any kind of support. He suggested to have mutual support for the simultaneous development of both the Telugu states.
But as the AP government opposed with the Centre in a few issues, anticipating that it would result into worse situations from the BJP government, Jagan may have decided to invite Modi to the launch.
