The Andhra Pradesh government headed by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has dismissed 10 cases that are filed against YSRCP Jaggayyapeta MLA Udayabhanu Samineni, who is also a whip for government in AP Legislative Assembly.
The trail of these ten cases are currently in various stages in the state-level special court set up in Vijayawada to hear the cases registered against people’s representatives.
The AP government on Friday issued orders (GO) withdrawing the cases. On March 23, the Home Ministry issued dismissal orders based on proposals received from the AP DGP.
MLA Udayabhanu Samineni was booked during the TDP regime at Jaggayyapeta police station. The police charged him for kidnapping staff of CSPA and obstructing officials from performing duties. Apart from them, some other cases registered at Vastavai, Nandigama and Chillakallu police stations have also been dropped.
