IT biggies ending Work from Home for employees

India’s leading IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies have been following the Work from Home policy for their employees over the last 18 months. Now, the IT biggies have chalked out their plans to end complete WFH, as the country has reached the 100 crore vaccination mark.

As the vaccination process continues to speed up across the country, the IT companies are gradually looking to end work-from-home. Many IT companies are planning to bring their employees to the offices. They are expected to follow the hybrid work model of their employees.

TCS seems to have completed the vaccination process for about 70 per cent of its company employees. About 95 per cent of people in the company received at least one dose. The company plans to lay off 90 per cent of its employees by the end of this year. It is looking to bring employees to the offices as early as the year 2022.

Infosys, the country’s second-biggest outsourcer, is also planning to follow a hybrid work model going forward. 86% of Infosys employees take at least one dose. Wipro Chairman Rishad Premji last month announced on Twitter, saying, “After 18 long months, our leaders @Wipro are coming back to the office starting tomorrow (twice a week). All fully vaccinated, all ready to go – safely and socially distanced! We will watch this closely”.
