Is Jagan going to move to Visakhapatnam after all?

Ever since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, he has been quite firm on making Visakhapatnam the executive capital of the state, and shifting his base to the port city, and working from there. However, his plans of shifting to Vizag have been hindered several times because of the various objections and court cases.

Just today, the Supreme Court of India, in which nearly 8 related cases are currently going on, postponed the hearing to the 28th of November. This would mean that Jagan wouldn’t be able to shift to Vizag by naming it the capital or the executive capital of the state. There is no rule that the Chief Minister of a state should work from the capital of the state, though, which could mean that Jagan could still shift his base to Vizag.

Neither the Judiciary nor any other body can interfere with the CM’s preferred working city in a state. Considering that, there would be no opposition to him working from Vizag, it is to be seen whether or not the CM of AP would shift to Vizag or not.
