It is common for any political party to have internal
politics, as it is not often that all the members of the party get along really well with each other. The same is the case in
TRS, where former Deputy Chief Ministers, Kadiyam Srihari and T Rajaiah are not getting along with each other. Kadiyam and Rajaiah defect to the TRS from other parties, from TDP and Congress, respectively.
They both were political rivals for a long time before they joined the TRS, as both of them are two of the senior-most politicians in Telangana. Rajaiah served as the Deputy CM under CM KCR, for seven months, after which he was replaced by Kadiyam in January 2015. This further worsened the political rivalry between the two.
Currently, neither Kadiyam nor Rajaiah are a part of the CM’s cabinet, with Kadiyam being a former MLC, and Rajaiah being an MLA. These both were last seen at an official programme in Station Ghanpur on Saturday. Police personnel had given more importance to Kadiyam, and not to Rajaiah, which angered the latter. Rajaiah is said to have gotten angry at that and is learned to have told the officials that they need not give Kadiyam as much importance as Kadiyam is just a former MLC, while he is an MLA.
Kadiyam retorted to this by saying that he doesn’t need any respect or protocols and that despite everything, he’s ready to serve the people of the state. While this may not be a major political issue, it is to be seen what sort of circumstances this will lead to in the future.
