South siren Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s upcoming film Shaakuntalam has been in the making for quite some months now and the makers have revealed an interesting update regarding the periodic movie.
The producer of Shaakuntalam, Neelima Guna revealed that the shooting has been wrapped up and post-production works are going in full swing.
A note from Neelima said, “This is to all the fans who’ve been tweeting asking for updates about Shaakuntalam: the post-production work is going on at a brisk pace, the challenging CG complexities are being dealt with good precision as we prepare to give you a good quality output.. hence the time.”
Shaakuntalam is based on Kalidasa’s epic Sanskrit play Abhijnana Shakuntalam. Besides Samantha, the movie stars Dev Mohan as King Dushyanta, while Mohan Babu will be seen as Durvasa Maharishi and Allu Arha in a supporting role. Directed by Gunashekar, the movie has music composed by Mani Sharma.
