Ram Pothineni pinned a lot of his hopes on Skanda which marks his collaboration with Boyapati Sreenu who last delivered a blockbuster with Akhanda.
But as for Skanda, the film is getting the worst possible hype and this is not helping the cause whatsoever.
Firstly, the trailer for the film was lambasted by all quarters for its poor stuff. Then the songs in the film are also a mega failure as Thaman has failed to deliver even a single winning song for the album.
All in all, the promotional material of Skanda has failed big time and it has to be seen how this will affect the film now.
Had the film had a better promotional campaign, it could have been benefited but that doesn’t appear to be the case now. Will things pick up before the release – September 15? We shall wait and see.
